Before starting the training, we will send you forms to fill out. These questions and exercises help both you and us gain a better understanding of who you are and where you want to go. It allows us to tailor the training to your specific needs and ensure that you get what you want.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Build trust with others and yourself  
  • Discover more of yourself and express who you truly are freely 
  • Set and achieve clear goals

 

In the first month, our focus is on clarity. We’ll lay the foundation by establishing trust within the group. Trust is key because, without it, you won’t feel safe exploring your true self. Through trust-building exercises, you’ll shed the masks you’ve worn for years and reveal your authentic self. It’s from this place of authenticity that you’ll discover the clarity needed to shape the life you desire.

You’ll learn how to: 

  • Tune into your inner voice and embrace your authentic self
  • Break free from people-pleasing and communicate with genuine self-expression
  • Transform your fear into a spruce of inspiration and action 

The second month is all about building confidence. Unmasking your true self can be overwhelming, especially when you’ve spent years conforming to others’ expectations. We’ll help you connect with your inner voice and what’s true for you. The supportive group environment will be the ideal space for exploring and strengthening your confidence. With clarity and confidence, you’ll not only feel excited about your journey but also have the tools to communicate your authentic self to those around you.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Define your vision and purpose
  • Take bold actions that create real impact in your life and the life of others 
  • Connect with a supportive community

 

Month three is all about taking courageous steps. With newfound clarity and confidence, it’s time to apply what you’ve learned to build the life you truly desire. We’ll help you refine your vision and dive deep into your core purpose, empowering you to make a real impact. This month is a pivotal step towards becoming the man you want to be.

As the training concludes, we’ll assess your progress, outcomes, and growth, helping you set new goals. If you’d like to continue your journey with us, you have two paths:

Continue with the Men’s Circle – This offers ongoing weekly sessions for connection and accountability across key life areas: relationships, purpose, emotions, body and mind, spirit, and finances. It’s a space for regular support and growth.

Advance to The Authentic Leadership Training – For men who’ve completed The Man You Want to Be, this next level of training deepens your growth and focuses on creating impact beyond yourself. Designed for those ready to lead with purpose, this training is by invitation only. More details and an invitation will be provided by your facilitator at the end of the training.

Guiding videos

You will receive guiding videos with the content of the upcoming session. This allows you to progress at your own pace and creates ample time for in-depth discussions and practices during the sessions.

Joining a group of men committed to self-development can be both exciting and intimidating. You might wonder, ‘Will I connect with the other men?’ or ‘What kind of environment can I expect?’ Or ‘It is a macho or some kind of a hippie place?’. These are all common questions, and ones we’re familiar with. To give you a sense of how we work, we keep things down to earth, direct, and warm, focusing on creating an inclusive, non-judgmental space where honest conversations and genuine growth practices lead to deep personal progress. To get a feel for our approach and the spirit of the community, you’re welcome to join a free session of the Men’s Circle. It’ll give you a strong sense of how we run sessions, communicate, and create space for growth. 

One of our key agreements is Self-Honouring, which emphasises respecting your values, boundaries, and well-being. You have the freedom to decide how much you want to engage in discussions and practices. Think of it like a traffic light: the green zone is comfortable but keeps you stuck, and men in this training aren’t here to stay there. The amber zone is where true growth happens, challenging you within your boundaries. The red zone pushes too far, and we ensure no one goes there. The aim is to spend as much time as possible in the amber zone—this is where real progress happens. Remember, you’re always in control of your journey. Our facilitators have dedicated many years to their own self-development and growth. They are all trained and possess years of experience in coaching and facilitation, both within and beyond the realm of men’s groups. In addition to continued discussions and feedback opportunities you’ll experience:

You’ll join a total of 12 sessions: the first is a three-hour kickoff to build trust, followed by 11 two-hour sessions. Alongside these, there’ll be short content videos, weekly check-ins with a chosen man, and assignments. With 3-4 hours a week, you’ll do well—but as always, the more you put in, the more you’ll gain

Yes! We invite you to  join a free session of the Men’s Circle to get a sense of our approach and the community’s spirit. While it’s not part of the actual training, it offers a solid introduction to how we work, communicate, and create a supportive space. Although the training itself is much more intensive, designed for deeper exploration and growth, the Men’s Circle will give you a feel for our style and tone, helping you decide if this is the right fit for you.

We get it—spending money on personal growth can feel odd, even selfish. It’s normal to feel uncertain, especially with the noise from society, family, and friends telling us it’s unnecessary. But if you’re here, there’s probably a part of you that feels this is something you truly want to do and we’re happy to help you figure out if this could be the right direction for you. 

Every one of us, the men behind the scenes of On Being Men has invested in our own growth, and we know it’s a big step. If you’re still on the fence, we’d like to invite you to  join a free session of our Men’s Circle, no strings attached. It’ll give you a sense of how we work, and if you’re still interested, you can book a discovery call with a facilitator to go a bit deeper and see how that feels. You can join our weekly Men’s Circle sessions, where you’ll experience open discussions and deep connections with other like-minded men. Together, we explore areas like purpose, relationships, emotions, and finances. The Men’s Circle is a monthly subscription, but as a participant in On Being Men training, you’ll get free access.

Many men also choose to add one-to-one coaching sessions, tailored to support their personal growth needs. Packages start at £1,000, providing a focused path to build clarity, confidence, and courage. If you’re interested, we can discuss one-to-one coaching during your discovery call for the training.

Men who complete The Man You Want to Be training, can also continue with the Authentic Leadership Training to deepen your personal and professional leadership skills.
